CM reviews work progresses of under-construction ‘Jhanana Hospital’, ‘Iconic Bus Terminal’ in Rajkot

Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani visited and reviewed the progress of under-construction ‘Jhanana Hospital’, to be built at a cost of Rs. 200-Cr, in Rajkot city.

The new plan of 150 years old hospital was changed to save a more than century old banyan tree. The new 11-storey hospital build will have total capacity of 500 beds. Of them, 200 beds for pregnant women and 300 beds for children.

The Chief Minister also visited and reviewed the work progress of the under-construction new iconic bus terminal along with modern depot and workshop, to be built at a cost of Rs. 45.23-Cr.

He said, once the new terminal ready it will give “new clavour and flavour” to the people with availability of all facilities to the passengers in foreign countries.

At present, the Rajkot bus stand has frequency of more than 2,000 buses per day and transportation of 80,000 passengers. The new terminal is spread over 11589,,31 sq. mt. areas. After Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat, now new terminus is being made in Rajkot, Mehsana, Palanpur, Bhavnagar and Surendranagar.

The events were graced by MP Mr. Mohanbhai Kundariya, MLAs — Mr. Arvindbhai Raiyani, Mr. Govindbhai Patel, and Mr. Lakhabhai Sagathiya, BJP Pradesh leader Mr. Nitinbhai Bhardwaj, Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, Mayor Mrs. Binaben Acharya, and others.
